The Edelmann Residence

Originally built as a cottage in 1952 and located on two acres within the Borough of Bradfordwoods, the home was originally designed by renowned Pittsburgh architect Dale Ritchie. Original design detailing was carried through with the new deck and second floor additions completed in 2002 and 2003. Open framed trellises and eyebrow window canopies over the ribbon windows emphasis the angular form of the modernist home. The third floor addition—added in 2003—was set back from the front of the home to step the front façade. The large deck addition steps down to the grade, providing access to the lawn from all sides of the deck.
