Marriott Residence Inn—Erie
78– Suite Extended Stay Hotel
Construction Cost: $5,200,000
Completion Date: October 1995

Marriott Residence Inn – Erie

The Marriott Residence Inn—Erie, is a three-story “all-suite” hotel, based on a Generation-5 Marriott prototype. The client dramatically upgraded the facility from the Marriott prototype design–including fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and upgraded finishes in all rooms, to serve the local market.

A separate “Gatehouse” entrance building includes a custom designed, sky lit pool area with fitness room and spa, which features a stained glass window—designed by a local artist. Unique sculptures and fountains, purchased by the Owner on his travels also adorn the pool area and grounds, giving the hotel a very upscale feeling.

The construction of the hotel building was built with panelized wood methods to speed construction. A combination of brick and horizontal siding are detailed to provide the residential atmosphere desired for the extended stay hotel.
