Ingomar Fire Station

Within the “Old Ingomar Village” area of McCandless Township, the new station will replace an existing facility on the site which the fire company had outgrown. The project had a tight budget, and a pre-engineered structural frame was utilized to maximize the buildable volume and clear span of the Apparatus Bays. A partial second floor within the main structural frame allowed the design of a large Training Room, Meeting Room and Fitness areas. A Training Tower also allows in-house company training.

Exterior materials are timeless split-faced concrete masonry, cement board siding and standing seam metal roofing, which minimizes maintenance on the new facility.

The new station was designed under budget and construction was managed by EPM Architecture. The IVFC station started construction in the August of 2011, and was completed in June of 2012.
